We're inviting the next wave of young storytellers to join Kothaboor's Storytelling and Leadership Fellowship. If you know a young person ready to find their voice through film, this is the moment to apply.
This fellowship is more than making a film, it's about building individuals with collective learning.
Online storytelling and mobile filmmaking workshop
Our 1st batch from PM Shri Sarupathar Higher Secondary School, with 6–7 students from Higher Secondary 2nd Year, has reached an exciting milestone in their filmmaking journey. From an idea to a script, and now from script to screen—they have learned the fundamentals of camera, sound, editing, sound design, art direction, and storyboarding.
Now, they are ready to put their learning into practice and begin shooting their first film, "XOPUN XUR".

Well-being & Self-expression Fellowship For Senior Citizens: 2nd Cohort
After successfully completing the 1st Cohort, we launched the 2nd Cohort with an exciting new addition—Storytelling and Mobile Filmmaking for Senior Citizens at Tezpur.
We are looking forward to a successfull completion of their films and stories.
KOTHABOOR Open Film School collaborating with the Heritage Learning Program (HLP) 6th Cohort
In just four days, students learnt how to observe, listen, write, shoot, edit, and most importantly, tell stories that matter. Watching them transform from learners into filmmakers was one of the most rewarding moments of this cohort.
Divided into three teams, the participants created three documentary projects, each telling a unique story of our people and place.

KOTHABOOR Open Film School rocked Snehjori Summer Fest 2026 with an intensive 3-day mobile filmmaking workshop! Youth creators dove into immersive storytelling, using their lenses to spotlight urgent community issues. Through bold collaboration and artistic vision, these rising filmmakers transformed real-world challenges into powerful cinematic solutions.
Kothaboor Art Exhibition - Senior Citizen Wellbeing Fellowship 2026
Kothaboor celebrated the closing of the first Kothaboor Well-Being Fellowship at Snehalaya, Tezpur. Through sketches, paintings, conversations, and shared memories, our senior citizens reminded us that creativity does not fade with age—it deepens.
Dihing Biodiversity Meet 2026
Kothaboor held its 1st workshop at the Dihing Biodiversity Meet for the Soraipung children on mobile filmmaking and storytelling.
